3346 words, according to the word counter in LibreOffice. I know that the LibreOffice word counter comes up with slightly different numbers than the official NaNoWriMo word counter, but it should be close enough. That's about twice as many as I need to average per day, but I'm just happy to be banking some against a possible word drought later on.

I guess that Thanksgiving will make me take some time away from the novel, and there's Oíche Shamhna coming up in the middle of the month, but I've always been pretty well able to avoid flu. If I catch it, so it goes. Maybe a fever will add a creative touch to my writing. Weather? Ha! I write at home, on a laptop. I am nearly immune to weather considerations! (He says, unmindful of the perils of hubris. Now watch us get our first multiple-day power outage in years. Of course, that's why they make paper and pens.) Thanks!

nope, just acknowledging that I have one. :)

I have Mystery Illness and it is eating up a LOT of my energy, and this weekend I have Plans Which I Cannot Miss (or I will be dreadfull sad), and so I am giving myself time to *rest* and do those things before I dive into writing.

The last time I did WriMo I was able to hit the 50K by thanksgiving, and I have no doubts that I can do the same again. I will be working on the same project, and writing the antigonist side of things. I barely scratched the surface of the story in the first 60K words, so I have a LOT left to say there. I am sure I will be fine. :D

Well done! I only managed 100 over the recommended daily allowence. But part of that I blame the cat for as he kept sitting between me and the keyboard.

Heh. After I updated here, I fiddled around some more and ended the day at 3702. I doubt I can keep that up, but it's interesting that the ideas are starting to flow, where I sat down with hardly an idea (in fact, I had three, and picked one as I sat down). What's even more interesting is that the initial idea that I actually chose has mutated so completely that it is unrecognizable as the original idea.

I think that's very cool. I love it when stories have a life of their own. I have mostly vague ideas for mine. I know a few things that happen in the middle but that's about it. Trying to spend the day plotting and the evening writing it up. Which will only last until I have things to do in the evening!
